Reimagining imperial borders (concrete, barbed wire, processing centers) through an ancient, climate-resilient xerophyte: the same cacti that were once planted to mark precolonial farmlands, from Palestine to Mexico. Here they persist beyond nation-states and climate collapse, emblems of endurance that will outlast our extractive systems. Hand-built from extruded clay, the needle-like forms rise in fence-like arrays. They propose propagation rather than exclusion as a future border logic.
